Use the tree at the base of the wall and scramble up to the branch above. Now that we have all the collectibles out of the way (for the moment) go to the objective marker. Note:if you have collected all of the Documents and Relics listed thus far, Lara will now reach Level 1 proficiency in Mongolian language. You’ll find a Document and a cylinder of reagents.
Scramble up the tree in front of this to reach one of its branches and then jump from here to the platform. At the top, directly ahead you should see a raised ledge. As you go, monitor the left hand side for a small ledge we can climb up to with a Survival Cache and a steep wooden wall we can scramble up.
This time follow the path leading to the northeast.
#THE LOST CITY TOMB SURVIVAL CACHE UPDATE#
Grabbing this will update your map with the locations of Survival Caches, Cave Entrances and Strongboxes. To the right you’ll see a cave (which we can’t access yet) and just to the right of the entrance is a small platform with an Explorer’s Satchel. ĭrop back down and continue to the southeast until you reach the bottom of the hill. At the base of the wall you’ll find another Document. Return to the deer and continue along the path to the southeast – keep your eyes to the left as you go and look for a ledge above with a ruined wall atop it. Look for a small ledge around the side of the rocky structure to the left of the deer for a Document. There are several ways to get there, but let’s get a few collectibles first.įrom the camp, head southeast until your each the dead deer we scavenged previously. Once we are good to go, we’ll need to make our way over to the objective marker to the east. You should get in the habit of performing these actions as soon and as often as possible as the resources and the upgrades they unlock are invaluable. Objective: Explore the forest for signs of the Lost Cityįrom here on out, we’ll be able to scavenge materials from the environment – mainly by cutting down small trees and hunt various animals. Note:At this point you’ll unlock the achievement/trophy ‘Tougher than She Looks’.

Once we have additional Base Camps unlocked, we can even fast travel between them – convenient! At this point however, all we’ll need to do is to enter the upgrade menu for the bow and purchase the ‘Reinforced Limbs’ upgrade and then invest a skill point in a skill of your choice – I’d recommend ‘Thick-Skinned’ in the Brawler tree or ‘Avid Learner’ in the Survivor tree, but the choice is yours.Įxit the Base Camp menu when you are ready to continue. In the Base Camp menu, we can upgrade items, switch weapons, craft equipment/ammo, change Lara’s costumes and spend skill points. Objective: Return to camp and build a fireĪfterwards, we’ll be at our first Base Camp. After doing so, head back to the camp for a scene. Move over and interact with all three of these items of interest to update your objectives. If you turn on Lara’s Survival Instinct, the game will highlight three objects nearby – a pair of small trees and a dead deer. Objective: Gather resources to build a fire and shelter Upon arrival we’ll be tasked with gathering resources to build a fire and shelter. After a short walk you’ll come across an old camp. Once we are back in control of Lara simply follow the set route through the snow.
